Without protection, a customer could pay for a new gift card with an existing gift card. That moves money between cards and is a common way to abuse gift cards. Giftora blocks it at checkout.
Turn it on
- Open the Dashboard in Giftora.
- In the Block gift cards as payment step, select Turn on.
The step turns green when blocking is on. Customers can still pay for gift cards with every other payment method.
Why selling stays off until this is on
Giftora won't issue gift cards until payment blocking is on. Orders placed before that are put On hold, and you can issue them from Gift cards after you check them.
If payment blocking is turned off later, the Dashboard shows the step again with Turn on again, and new gift card orders are held until you turn it back on.
