When a gift card is issued, Giftora emails it to the recipient. The email shows the card value, the gift card code and the buyer's message. You decide how it looks.
Saving your email once is required before Giftora starts selling.
Open the email editor
- In Giftora, go to Email.
- Select Customize email.
The editor shows your changes on the left and a live Preview on the right. Switch between Desktop and Mobile to check both.
Choose a template
Pick one of 5 templates:
- Navy: deep blue with ribbons
- Lavender: soft and bright
- Emerald & Gold: classic and elegant
- Envelope: a card with a handwritten note
- Luxury Black: black and gold
If you already changed the small heading or title, Giftora asks whether to use the new template's text or keep yours.
Add your brand
In Brand:
- Logo: 480 × 160 px recommended, PNG or JPG up to 1 MB.
- Button color: the text on the button switches between white and black automatically so it stays readable. Select Use template color to go back.
In Hero, you can replace the template image with your own: 1200 × 600 px, PNG or JPG up to 2 MB. Keep the middle simple, because the gift card sits on top. Only upload images you have the right to use.
If Giftora asks for permission to manage files, select Grant access, then upload again.
Write the email

You can show or hide most sections.
Use variables
Add these variables to personalize each email. Giftora fills them in for every card:
{recipient_name}: recipient name{sender_name}: sender name{shop_name}: your shop name{amount}: gift card value
Select Insert variable in the message toolbar to add one.
Expiry text
If you turn on Use expiry text, benefit 3 shows each card's expiry automatically, for example "No expiry". If your cards expire and benefit 3 says they never do, Giftora warns you to check the text.
Language
Giftora sends the email in the buyer's language when it's one of these: English, Vietnamese, French, German, Spanish, Italian, Dutch, Portuguese (Brazil), Japanese and Simplified Chinese. Other languages fall back to English. The texts you write yourself stay as you wrote them.
Save and send a test
- Select Save.
- Select Send test email, enter your own address and select Send test.
The test uses a sample code and link. No real gift card is used. You can send 5 test emails an hour.
Optional: send from your own domain
By default, gift emails go out from Giftora's shared address, with replies going to your reply-to email. To send from an address like giftcards@your-store.com, add your own domain.
