Gift emails sent from your own domain look more professional and are less likely to go to spam. This step is optional. Until your domain is verified, Giftora sends from its shared address.
Add your domain
- In Giftora, go to Email → Sender and select Add domain.
- Enter a domain or subdomain you own, like
shop-a.comormail.shop-a.com.myshopify.comdomains can't be used. - Select Add domain.
Giftora shows the DNS records to add.
Add the DNS records
- Sign in to where you manage DNS for your domain. This is often where you bought it.
- Add each record from the table. Copy the Host (name) and Value exactly. Use the copy buttons to avoid typos.
- Come back to Giftora and select Check again.
DNS changes can take up to 48 hours. Each record shows Set up when it's found.
Host already includes your domain? Some DNS providers add your domain to the host automatically. If yours does, enter only the part before
.your-domain.com.
Already have a DMARC record? Keep it and skip the DMARC row. Don't add a second one.
If the domain isn't verified within 7 days, it's released. Add it again to get new DNS records.
Choose your sending address
When the domain shows Verified:
- In Send gift emails from, choose An address on your domain.
- Enter the part before @, for example
giftcards. - Save.
Make sure someone reads your reply-to inbox. Recipients who reply reach that address.
If the domain stops working
If DNS records are removed or changed, the domain is marked Not working and Giftora switches back to its shared address so emails keep going out. Select Fix sender domain, fix the records shown, then select Check again. Giftora uses your address again once the domain works.
Change or remove the domain
Open the ⋯ menu next to the domain and choose Change domain or Remove domain. Gift emails switch to Giftora's shared address right away. You can delete the DNS records you added.
