Both settings are in Settings → Gift cards.
Gift email timing
Choose when Giftora emails the gift to the recipient:
| Option | When the email is sent |
|---|---|
| When the whole order is fulfilled (recommended) | After every item in the order is fulfilled. If the order has other items, the recipient waits until they're fulfilled too. |
| When the order is paid | Right after the card is issued, or on the date the buyer chose. |
If the buyer chose a delivery date, the email waits until that date.
The new timing applies to gift cards issued after you save. Cards already waiting keep their current timing.
Expiry
Choose one:
- No expiry: cards never expire.
- Expires after a number of months: enter a whole number from 1 to 120. Giftora shows an example date for a card issued today.
The new expiry applies to gift cards issued after you save.
Some countries and states limit or ban gift card expiry dates. Check the rules where you sell.
If your email says cards never expire, update the text after you turn on expiry. Edit your email
